Conditions and environment
Global Performance Testing assures all data is reliable and consistent by performing our test events for on artificial
grass or gymnasium flooring.
Where testing is performed on artificial grass,
the athlete is allowed to wear footwear normal
for the specific sporting code.
When artificial surfaces are in an outdoor venue,
the weather conditions including temperature,
wind speed and surface / air conditions i.e. wet,
are all noted in the test event log and referenced
in athlete and coaches information specific to the
day.
Global Performance Testing do not perform
official testing to our global standards on natural
grass conditions as this offers many variables to
the test results including accelerated wear and
constant changing of start and turning positions
throughout an event.
Indoor testing on timber flooring such as in a
gymnasium or basketball courts is ideal as this
offers a consistent surface for all athletes.
When indoor courts are used all athletes must
wear suitable indoor running shoes.
Indoor courts are often dusty and it is essential to
ensure the floor is clean and free from dust that
will affect turning, speed and agility based tests.
Remember that all testing must be replicated
time and time again for results to be comparable,
reliable and unbiased.
Whilst Global Performance Testing can provide
testing services in other conditions and
environments, it is our decision to provide global
standard data only from tests within these contolled environments as both surfaces and conditions can be found
internationally.
