Test protocol - 3 Cone Right Purpose To test a player’s agility. Procedure • • • • • • • • The athlete will tag on using their RFID band. The athlete will take a stationary 3-point stance with their front foot and hand of choice touching down behind the starting line. Once the athlete is in the ready position, all subsequent movement must be in a forward direction. The athlete may start in their own time once the timing system is ready and the start gate is green. When ready, the athlete will run to cone #1 and touch the line with the right hand, pivot, run back to the start line, touch the start line with their right hand, pivot and proceed back towards cone #1. The athlete will run around cone #1 to the right, towards cone #2 keeping it on their left, pivot around cone #2, run back around cone #1 keeping it on their left, and sprint through the finish line. The athlete will be disqualified if cones are knocked over during the drill or they lean over and touch the ground with their hands while navigating around the cones. The athlete will run this test once. Data Analysis The time will be recorded to the nearest 0.001 second.
