Escalator is a set of moving stairs, usually power
driven, arranged like a continuous belt that
carries people between the floors of a building
while
ascending
or
descending
constantly.
Important escalator characteristics include step
enhanced safety, auto start feature either by
photocell sensors or by contact mats, power
saving feature, landing plates and handrail and
balustrade design.
Escalators
are

deployed
in
commercial complexes such as shopping malls,
