Emergence of Powered Exoskeleton
Powered Exoskeleton is a wearable mobile machine that is controlled by a framework of
electric engines, levers, hydraulics, pneumatics, or a blend of technologies that enable the
movement of limbs with expanded endurance and strength. The first genuine exoskeleton in
the context of being a portable device incorporated with human activity was co-created by
the United States Armed Forces and General Electric in the 1960s. One of the major
applications would be medicinal—enhancing the personal satisfaction of people who have,
for instance, lost the functioning of their legs, by giving assistive technology to empower
system-assisted strolling or rebuilding of other engine controls lost because of accidental
injury or illness.
