new role within its markets and securities
services division as the business adapts to
Brexit. Fabio Lisanti has been appointed
western Europe markets head – excluding
the UK – and will oversee the strategy
across the region and deliver the full
product platform to all client segments.
˜ ˜ BNP Paribas Securities Services has
promoted Simon Olenka to lead the
securities services teams in the UK and
Middle East and be responsible for helping
the bank meet its growth targets in these
markets. Olenka succeeds Patrick Hayes
who has been promoted to global head of
alternative investors, one of the bank’s
fastest-growing business lines dedicated to
hedge funds and private capital managers.
˜ ˜ Fund administrator TMF Group has
made a significant push in building out
its team with a mass-hiring effort that
includes the hiring of several executives
from Intertrust. The additions include
Andrew O’Shea who has joined as its new
global head of fund services, making him
one of a growing number of staff who have
left the fund administrator for its cross-
town rival this year.
˜ ˜ Northern Trust has appointed a new
senior executive for its alternatives
business development team to focus
on the rapidly-growing private markets
segment. Sara Gilbert joins Northern Trust
in Luxembourg working with clients across
Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The
team targets building relationships with
asset managers and asset owners across
the globe looking to establish funds in
Luxembourg, Ireland, the UK and Guernsey.
˜ ˜ The global head of Morgan Stanley’s
network management team has stepped
down to pursue opportunities outside of
the bank. Emma Prophet had led Morgan
Stanley’s global network of agent banks
and central securities depository (CSD)
relationships for over three years in London.
She also oversaw the bank’s entry into
new markets and the provision of market
information to wider business activities.
˜ ˜ Euroclear has hired markets expert
Chris French from Euronext as its head of
business development, in a newly created
role for the UK and Ireland. French was
previously head of sales, managed services
and technology solutions at the pan-
European exchange group.
˜ ˜ Fnality International, the company
behind the utility settlement coin (USC)
project, has brought on post-trade
regulatory expert Angus Fletcher as
a commercial and regulatory advisor.
Fletcher previously spent nearly two years
at Standard Chartered as global head of
the markets and conduct branch within
its global regulatory affairs department in
London.
˜ ˜ BNY Mellon’s Pershing has appointed
Benjamin Harrison as the head of its
registered investment advisor (RIA)
custody business, succeeding Mark
Tibergien who will retire at the end of May.
Tibergien has held the role since 2009 and
grew the division’s RIA assets to more than
$800 billion at the end of 2019.
˜ ˜ Standard Chartered has hired a new
head of securities services in Nigeria from
regional rival Standard Bank. Adeyemi
Odukunle Odubiyi joins after over 12 years
at Standard Bank where he had held a

similar position, after spells as deputy head
of operations and client management and
head of securities settlement.
˜ ˜ The SIX Digital Exchange (SDX) has
appointed new technologies pioneer, Tim
Grant, as the group readies to launch
its trading, settlement, and custody
infrastructure for digital assets. Grant is
known for his role as CEO of the R3 Lab and
Research Centre, and setting up DrumG
Technologies, which earnt buy-in from
Consensys in 2018. Previously, Grant was
also managing director at UBS O’Connor
and UBS Investment Bank.
˜ ˜ MUFG Investor Services has appointed
Dr Hans Jacob Feder from JP Morgan as
global head of FX services and Alberto
Baptise from BNY Mellon as head of FX
sales. The hirings will help MUFG expand
its capabilities in providing FX hedging
solutions, as well as enhancing FX services
around custody, translation hedging and
paying conversions.
˜ ˜ Collateral and margin management
services provider CloudMargin has hired
a 14-year veteran of Deutsche Börse’s
post-trade business Clearstream, to head
up its client services. Miriam Marascio
has been appointed head of client
services for the London-based firm. She
will lead the onboarding, support and
ongoing relationships with its clients,
which includes asset managers, brokers,
banks, insurance firms, outsourcers and
technology vendors.
˜ ˜ A former 16-year veteran for State
Street has joined securities finance trading
body, the International Securities Lending
Association (ISLA), as its new head of
finance. Jamila Jeffcoate joined the senior
management team of the organisation
in February as head of finance and
administration, as well as chief of staff.
