RECOGNIZING RAY CROFF
Impact Agent Of The Year !
EACH YEAR , the Global Atlantic Insurance Network gives out awards to general agents and agents in a variety of categories ( see related article on page 5 ). One of the most prestigious is “ Impact Agent of the Year .” This award is important because it takes into account not only production but also the embodiment of what might best be called the GAIN spirit of delivering exceptional value to clients , sharing winning strategies , supporting each other , and being involved in the community . This year at the Leaders Club event in Park City , Utah , Julie Schneider presented the Impact Agent of the Year award to Ray Croff .
Among many qualified candidates ( too many !), Ray stood out for a number of reasons . First , Ray has dedicated himself to educating small business owners on the different ways life insurance can play a role in their business planning , especially exit planning . When an individual has literally spent a lifetime building a business , he or she has often spent little , if any , time thinking about how they might monetize that business into retirement . That ’ s where Ray Croff comes in . Ray is viewed by many as one of the country ’ s foremost experts on the topic , and he has directly assisted countless business owners to navigate what can be a challenging and emotional time . Not only that , Ray has also personally assembled a network of top professionals
who can help the business owner with all aspects of what can sometimes be complex transactions . When Ray works with a client , he builds plans and helps them execute . Along the way , Ray openly shares the knowledge he has accumulated with anyone to whom it could be helpful . Ray is a lifelong learner who has dedicated a significant amount of his time to this important mission , and he generously opens up to share his experience and expertise with everyone .
Ray ’ s extraordinary goal of helping small business owners — coupled with his generosity in sharing his knowledge with others — were probably enough to win him Impact Agent of the Year on their own . But Ray gives back to the community as
well . When Global Atlantic announced its GAIN Gives program ( see related article on page 15 ), Ray was one of the first to apply . Very shortly thereafter , Gary Henderson ,

President & CEO of United Way Denton County , wrote to say this about Ray : “ Ray possesses an innate ability to connect people for the benefit of our community . He shares his knowledge with the next generation of community volunteers as a recurring presenter and moderator of our annual training . His dedication strengthens the Denton County nonprofit sector by educating and equipping the volunteers charged with steering its course .”
As Julie Schneider puts it , “ Ray truly embodies the heart of GAIN . It ’ s about sharing and rising together . And that ’ s what Ray Croff clearly stands for .”
