EMEA Golden Gate Training
Munich, London, Paris, Dublin
May, 2017
As part of the Golden Gate Launch, Deal Desk EMEA members Shane Doyle and Judith
Cooper travelled with Sales Readiness maestro, Tiffany Poeppelman to 4 different offices
across Europe in the space of a week to deliver training to our sales teams.
4 countries (7 markets/teams), 4 days, 5 trainings, 120 + attendees
Here is their journey…
“The Bridge we thought we’d never cross”
(T Poeppelman, 2017)
To set us up for success in our new Deal Desk roles we saw
this as the perfect opportunity to build on our presentation,
training and #mobility skills.
Munich
For our first adventure we found ourselves
gatecrashing Henry’s off-site in Munich where we
joined the AE/AM’s from the Munich, Spain, Dubai
and Amsterdam offices. Henry Clifford-Jones
(Director, Marketing Solutions Central,
Southern Europe and MENA) kicked off the day
welcoming everyone as well as giving a little insight
into the background to Golden Gate which was
followed by some icebreakers as well as SLIDO - if
you haven’t used it yet, get on it! We had a lot to go through so we jumped right
into the fun stuff. There were lots of great questions, feedback and suggestions
which we took back with us to Dublin as we prepped for the our next trip.
London
A few days later we set off to visit
London. It took us a little longer than
expected to find the office but thankfully
we bumped into one of the AM’s who
pointed us in the right direction. Josh
Graff (Vice-President of EMEA
Marketing Solutions) started the day
off highlighting the need for change and
how Golden Gate was going to get us
there. SLIDO was out in full force and we didn’t waste time delving into the detail. There
were plenty of great questions and feedback but the time came for us to pack up our toys
and head for the train.
Paris
Having never been on the Eurostar before we were intrigued to
find out more... it was just like any other train and off we set
for Paris. Prune Nouvion (Director, Marketing Solutions
France) set the scene and we kicked off day two in a very sunny
Parii. When the questions were answered and the feedback was
gathered we set off to the airport to get to our final destination.
Dublin
Back in Dublin AdOps were having
their on-site so we thought let’s
bring them in extra early and walk
them over the bridge. Gavin Walsh
(EMEA AdOps Senior Manager)
launched the session by making some
late joiners do jumping jacks along
with a little background to the day
ahead. In the afternoon we had our
final training with the OSO crew.
started us off and by this point we were
pro’s no longer needing the deck we
were presenting. Both sessions went
extremely well and it was particularly
useful to get our CM’s view on the E2E
process.
