My favourite learning from it was a question, “Will this matter in a year from
now?” For me, it really helps put seemingly huge problems into perspective.
The CM team gathered in Dublin for GG and
objection handling training, and cooking! Carine
and Janine were interrogated by Gavin in an
“Inside the actor’s studio” style. The two days
were organised by this team who were clearly
thrown into this last minute. (Link to video there)
What is next for The EMEA AdOps Book Club? This month, we’re getting stuck
into ‘Eat That Frog: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get
More Done in Less Time’. There’s an old saying: if you eat a live frog first
thing each morning, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that it’s probably
the worst thing you’ll do all day. Fingers crossed the other tips will be a bit
easier to put into practice … we’ll keep you posted!
If you’d like to start a Book Club in your region (or to recommend a book!),
don’t hesitate to reach out to me; Grace MacDonald. So far, it has been a
great experience for our teams and lots of fun. A huge thanks to the EMEA
AdOps Managers for supporting this initiative.
Activity alert on the Spanish market!
EMEA’s Book Club
When’s the last time you sat down with a
cup of coffee and a good book? If you’re
like me, I lose hours scrolling down my
timeline or reading random articles – lost
in the infinite ‘internet rabbit hole’.
This year, our focus is on Transformation
and I couldn’t of think of a better time to
start a new initiative; The EMEA AdOps
Book Club. The EMEA AdOps Book Club
aims for us to learn something new about
ourselves, our industry, the business world and anything else that interests us. It gives
us some much needed time to switch off from our digital gadgets and helps us to build
relationships between LMS & LTS EMEA AdOps.
So, how does it work? Each month, we select a book that will (hopefully!) be relevant and
interesting to everyone. Once the books arrive, they are ours to read – the only request
is that everyone reads the book before the monthly meet up and prioritises that time.
We kicked off The EMEA AdOps Book Club in April 2017, with more than 20 people
signing up for our first book – ‘Who Moved My Cheese?’ An Amazing Way to Deal
with Change in Your Work and in Your Life’. If you don’t know the story, I definitely
recommend you check out the short video. I reference it more than I like to admit.
Next up, we read ‘Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff – and it’s all small stuff”, which is
a great little book filled with 100 ways to make our busy lives that little bit easier.
What? Edu-Connect
When? 23rd and 24th May
Where? Barcelona/Madrid
Context: Education is the pillar
industry in Spain. Although
we are having a really good
relationship with the bigger
school (IE/ESADE/IESE) there is
still plenty of opportunities to dig in with “emerging school”.
Objective? Engage and start the conversation with business schools that are not yet
advertising on Linkedin through LMS.
Results? Both session were really positive, we had over 50 representatives from 20
different school attending the sessions.
-> NPS : Barcelona = 48 / Madrid = 82
A few quotes from the client after the sessions:
CMO CUNEF : “We intend to move some advertising budgets in Q3 from Facebook
to LinkedIn. After the session, it seems that it makes more sense for us to have more
presence on LinkedIn”.CMO CUNEF : “We intend to move some advertising budgets in

EOI CMO: “What a great experience it’s been. Let’s meet early next week since we need
to start implementing our campaigns. Thanks again for hosting the event!”.
