Developing My Artistry: I learned the art of drawing growing up and would constantly sketch whatever caught my eye: things in magazines, still lifes, etc. I learned what shapes a subject, mainly the way light falls on it. Now in my photography I like being as creative with my lighting as possible. I love contrasty images and strive for the perfect contrast in an image whenever possible. This was shot at the abandoned Los Angeles Zoo. The Zoo was the perfect location: the stone walls and mountain backdrop lent itself perfectly to that feeling of aloneness and solidarity, mixed with the fragility and beauty of the models and couture gowns.
