Free To Be Me

The Power of Fear vs. Freedom
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, “Who am I am to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous”? Actually, who are we not to be? We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same – Author Unknown.
When I read this affirmation a year ago it was one of the most powerful and profound statements I had ever encountered. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt this was a divine word spoken for me in my present season. My deepest fear was not that I was ill equipped to perform my purpose on this earth, my deepest fear was the power that I and others knew laid dormant beyond the surface waiting to be unleashed.
Most people go through life never living up to their fullest potential, and they pass away into eternity without ever completing their purpose in life. Why? I am truly convinced that it is the power of fear. I was once held captive by this dark and sinister force. Fear can be so powerful that it becomes tangible, a big, black, ugly, intimidating bully.
Fear is paralyzing, will make you afraid of your own shadow. It is death to the soul. Its purpose is bent on your destruction, it thrives off your insecurities and false preconceived notions. The life of fear is extended every time you hear and embrace lies that you have been told about yourself. It is unfortunate that we live in a world where we constantly have to combat negativity, insults, and abuse on a daily basis. Personally, I was not reminded as a child that I was beautiful, intelligent, talented, fearfully and wonderfully made. My life consisted of abuse, ridicule, rejection, lies and betrayal. Fortunately, I met my creator at a young age, he spoke to me things all the opposite of what I had been told. However, it took me years to believe that I was brilliant, beautiful, unique, and powerful beyond measure. When I realized these things, another dilemma came about. The power and purpose that began to become evident in me became even more frightening. It takes courage and boldness to become what you were created to be. I had to choose that day whether I would remain captive to my fears or walk in freedom. I knew that I had the power and all I needed to do was activate it. I remembered that life and death were in the power of the tongue and I began to call forth those things that had not been manifested into existence. You are healthy, prosperous, healed, and whole!! Freedom from fear and those things that bind you will only come when you decide that you will not allow them to dominate your life any longer. You must desire it with everything in you. We do an injustice to ourselves and others by not fulfilling our purpose and living up to our fullest potential. I believe it to be cosmic treason against our creator when we reject the life, freedom, and purpose that He has so gracefully given us. You were made in His image. There is no one else in this earth that can do what you were made to do. Someone is waiting on you, counting on you to release yourself to be free!! When they see your light come forth and shine, this will allow someone else to live also. Today is the day to say goodbye to fear and death and step into your eternal destiny. Remember you have the power!!!
