Beer is the oldest and most widely consumed alcoholic beverage. It is most popular drink after water and tea. Beer is one of the most inexpensive yet extremely loved alcoholic beverages in the Liquor Industry. Beer comes in many different varieties including but not limited to combinations of �avours and varying levels of alcohol contained. Beer is brewed by fermenting and �avouring barley by adding hops and yeast into the water with the harvested crop. It can also be brewed by fermenting wheat or rice instead of barley. You can also brew your own beer at home by using the abovementioned ingredients. All you need is a simple brewing kit comprising of the containers fermenters and other objects necessary to prepare the brew.
Alterations in the brewing process lead to the production of various varieties of the final brew. For instance, ales- namely pale ale and mild ale, are prepared by introducing top-fermenting yeast to the brew and storing it at cellar temperatures. Thus producing a full-bodied brew with a hoppy finish. On the other hand, lagers are prepared by storing the brew for months at near-freezing temperatures. Other varieties of beer are stouts and potters, malts, lambic and wheat. Unlike the popular belief, going out and having some beers with your friends is actually good for your physical and mental health. Thankfully, ' No thanks! I don ' t like beer ' is something that no fun person would ever say.
