Patrons of the Prado values inspiration , education and partnerships in our fundraising efforts . These core concepts empower many vital programs for the cultural institutions that we serve , in turn , keeping their missions in motion . With the MASTERPIECE Gala as their signature fundraiser , Patrons of the Prado generates significant support through two grant categories . Each year the Gala funds both Unrestricted Major Grants , as well as Bucks4Buses Grants .
Unrestricted Major Grants allow their Beneficiaries the flexibility to optimize funding by directly addressing their strongest needs . The Bucks4Buses program is their signature education initiative . It brings thousands of children to the Park to experience hands-on programming and creative learning adventures .
The Beneficiaries supported by Patrons of the Prado include The Mingei International Museum , The Old Globe , San Diego Museum of Man , San Diego Museum of Art , TheNAT , Timken Museum of Art , The Fleet Science Center , San Diego Junior Theatre , San Diego History Center and The Museum of Photographic Art .
