MIPS SPHERICAL
MIPS Spherical is a refinement and evolution of the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System ( MIPS ). With this sophisticated design , two layers of EPP foam fit together like a ball-and-socket . This system helps protect the brain from rotational energy by allowing up to 10- to 15- millimeters of relative motion between the helmet and head during the first milliseconds of an impact .
MIPS EQUIPPED
MIPS can provide more protection in certain impacts . The main components of a MIPS-equipped helmet are : 1 . The Interior Foam Liner , 2 . the Low Friction Liner and 3 . an elastomeric attachment system . In an angled impact , the elastomeric attachment system stretches to allow the foam liner to rotate independently around your head .
CONFORM FIT TECHNOLOGY
The fully integrated Conform Fit System utilizes a two-piece shell that literally forms to the rider ’ s head shape by expanding and contracting with the turn of a dial . A truly adaptive design , it features a durable yet semi-flexible EPP construction that provides the lowest-profile fit we ’ ve ever created and unsurpassed custom comfort .
HYBRID CONSTRUCTION
Hybrid Construction merges a durable ventilated Hard Shell upper with an In-Mold Construction lower shell plus sidewalls for added protection and style . With Hybrid Construction the helmet is beefed up for added durability while remaining lightweight . Hybrid Construction also features an impact absorbing and lightweight EPS foam liner .
D 2 CONSTRUCTION
D2 Construction pairs two densities of Expanded Polypropylene ( EPP ) foam to manage both highand low-energy impacts . Additionally , EPP offers impressive resilience — this crushable foam regains its shape and retains some of its protective qualities after multiple impacts .
IN-MOLD CONSTRUCTION
In-Mold Construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet ’ s impact-absorbing foam liner . The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems , making In-Mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets .
HARD SHELL CONSTRUCTION
Hard Shell Construction produces great helmets at a great value . A rugged outer shell is molded and then attached to the EPS foam liner .
IN FORM 2 FIT SYSTEM
The In Form 2 System is lighter and lower profile than the original , making it even easier to dial in a custom fit in seconds — even with gloves on . The updated On-the-fly Vertical Tuning feature accommodates different goggles and head shapes for a custom fit free of gaper gap .
