Interview
with Eshah Shakeel
GS&NS: Hi, Eshah! Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Eshah: Hi I am Eshah Shakeel, from Lahore, Pakistan. I am actually a film graduate but the creation of imagery or the probing in of feelings through the use of words is what majorly constitutes the kind of art I try to create. That includes fiction writing, poetry and even those late night entries in the personal journal.
GS&NS: Will you speak about what inspired you to write your poem, "The Shade of Gray Between Night And Day"?
Eshah: It was, put simply, the glaring contrast of the chaotic human life and the extraordinary disciplined nature that's surrounding us and how we could take inspiration from it. The sun, the stars and the phenomenon of day and night has been there since time started and that extraordinary patience is the looking forward to a unity one day and dreaming of love while witnessing all the atrocities we commit: the hope that it all will end some day and the world will be filled with solely love.
