Hiking the cloud forest The cloud
forest can only be described as a
fairy tale landscape. You will see all
kinds of mushrooms – red, purple,
blue, tall, small, flat, and spikey,
curative and poisonous. Particular
to Oaxaca is the so-called ‘ghost
forest,’ where trees are covered
in a white moss that gives these
forests the appearance of a having
white supernatural silhouettes. A
