2 | You Are A Citizen Of The World!
Remembering - and claiming - your entitlement
as a citizen of the world to show up as who
you REALLY are, take up as much space as
you require, ask for what you need and share
the best of yourself, your perspective and lifeexperience and skills, enriches and validates
you and the lives of all. Conversely, when you
are anchored in a view of yourself as simply
a ‘foreigner’ or ‘visitor’ in a new country, there
can be a tendency to shrink back, become invisible and as non-intrusive as you can. This is
the same as inadvertently hiding your beauty
and brilliance and selling out on your personal
truth.
Of course, this can also be connected to your
immigration status - if you don’t have the paperwork that proves to you that you are fully
entitled to be there, it can wreak havoc on your
balance, grounding and ability to be fully present to yourself and the opportunities at hand.
You might also find yourself tapping into and
manifesting the pervasive belief that you need
to graft, sometimes for years, until you achieve
a bonafide status such as an unrestricted
work permit, permanent residency or citizenship. Herein lies a sneaky trap to be aware of
because the feeling that your position in the
world is shaky can quickly take you into survival mode and with that, a compromised ability to
create and enjoy the big, full, rich experiences
you need in order to grow. If this is or has been
your experience, you can likely see for yourself
how getting the paperwork you need automatically gives you the powerful over-arching governmental permission you believe you need to
excel and thrive.
