Are you being lazy enough?
Our brains require substantial downtime. Idleness is
not always a sin, it’s actually necessary for productivity. The rest and relaxation that come with doing
nothing can be essential not only in recharging the
batteries but for inspiration, making unexpected
connections (the ah ha moments) and seeing the
bigger picture.
Do you need a vacation to recover from your
vacation?
Long haul flights, rich foods, alcohol and late nights
can add to the stress load, making us even more
susceptible to leisure sickness.
If you’re the kind of person who craves nature thenparty holidays and hectic city breaks might not be
the best choice for you.
Also if you’ve had a stressful period at work, do you
really need to jet off to the other side of the world?
Long haul flights can take their toll on your immunity and if you’re anything like me then a foreign land
is probably more familiar to you than your native
soil!
If you already live overseas then perhaps a
staycation is just what the doctor ordered!
