Tone A toner that suits your skin type is one of the most important changes you can make in your routine. The main purpose of a toner is to restore your skin’s pH balance after you’ve cleaned it. Toners are called by many names and are, in general, light liquids that you can apply by splashing, spritzing or using a dampened cotton pad. I use toner throughout the day for a quick pick-me-up. If I spritz it on, it feels soothing and refreshing. If I apply with a cotton pad, it removes some of the dirt that accumulates on my skin. Moisturise During the day, you may want to use a moisturiser with pigment or with sun protection. At night, many people skip moisturising in order to let their skin restore itself. Not a bad idea, but don’t forget the toner first! RECIPES - All-Purpose Cleansing Oil This is my favorite cleanser, which can be stored at room temperature for up to 6 months. INGREDIENTS Sweet almond oil - 1 tablespoon (tbsp) Apricot kernel oil - 1 tbsp Avocado oil - 1 tbsp Light olive oil - 1 tbsp Vitamin E oil - ⅛ teaspoon or 1 small capsule Essential oil - 10 drops Mix all ingredients in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Always shake well before using.
