We met in a street in Bangkok when I heard him say something along the lines

of ‘those bloody French people!’ I turned around to ask him what he had against the
French and it ended in us going out for a couple of drinks. After Thailand I went to
Burma, Robb came along for the ride and we’ve been together ever since.
Travel has been a passion of mine since I was four when my parents started taking me
on their backpacking trips to exotic locations in Thailand and Sri Lanka. I don’t think
I could have hit it off so well with someone who didn’t love travel as much as me. We
have different perceptions of the world; Robb loves the chaos of India and I deeply
miss the rules and tradition of Japan, but it’s the differences that keep it interesting.
As with all relationships, patience and compromise are the keys to success. I’ve learned
to calm down and not stress, to appreciate the moment, enjoy the memories and that
a fight is rarely worth it..
