Tlayudas | Mexico
Think you know your tacos from your enchiladas? Even so,
you probably didn’t know Mexico has its own pizza!

Tlayudas are native to Oaxaca and the city’s preferred after-hours snack.
They consist of crispy tortillas spread with pork lard, refried beans, lettuce,
onions, quesillo cheese and complemented with optional meats such as
tasajo (thinly sliced beef), cecina (thinly sliced pork) or chorizo. Hangover
heaven.
