6.When a hotel reservation didn’t go through, I had to

spend the night in a storage room in Yangshuo, China.
I slept on a bed with no mattress, tucked in between
bottles of Sprite and Coke on one side and ‘clean’ bed
linens and towels on the other.

7. I rented an electric scooter to explore the beautiful
villages and mountains in the South of China.

8. I ate a turtle. Don’t judge me.
9. I had the most expensive coffee in the world in

Shanghai. It is prepared using coffee cherries that have
been eaten and partially digested by an Asian cat-like
animal called Palm Civet, then harvested from the
animal’s poo.

10. I literally stopped breathing while witnessing the

most beautiful sunset ever in Penang Island, Malaysia.
