You have a dream to start an organisation to
encourage young people in Africa to travel.
Can you tell us some more about your plans?
After I went to Uganda, I started blogging
to share my experiences with friends and
many told me they, too, want to travel. This
got me thinking about the obstacles to travel:
some cultures don’t encourage travel, or we
have financial or safety concerns.
Therefore I am making it one of my life’s missions to help young people in Africa travel. I
would like to start an organization, Young African Travellers Initiative (YATI) which would
subsidize 50-70% of the cost of the travel
package, including accommodation. In this
way, it would create opportunities for young
people here to interact with the diverse societies of Africa. Our continent is &
