But for all the things I miss, there are
plenty of things that I don’t. As much as
I used to adore the inherent sexiness
that comes with wearing high heels, my
feet celebrate the reprieve.
Ditto to dressing up for work each day
and all the high-maintenance outfit planning and purchasing that goes along
with it. I don’t miss the traffic, the long
commutes, and the harried pace of
life that convinces everyone they’re so
“busy” and “stressed”.
It is freakishly beautiful here. As I drive,
I’m surrounded by breathtaking vistas
and the view from my bedroom window is something millions of people in
cubicles around the world stare at as a
screensaver.
I’m more in touch with nature than I’ve
ever been, spending the majority of
my time outdoors and appreciating the
ocean like I was never quite able to in
California.
