It was one of those spontaneous moments when your heart
presides over your brain. I was
invited to perform with the
circus while it was in town and
I did so for the next few weeks.
Rare coincidences like that
have taught me to take more
of a chance with the unknown
and trust my impulses.
After finishing high school in Estonia, I decided to travel again
and found myself in Canada.
I decided to stay and study
digital media at the University
of Edmonton.
At the same time I got involved
with the local circus company
Firefly Theatre and Circus, first
as a student then as a performer. Today I’m living and
performing as an aerialist in
Toronto.
Circus and performing give me
a sense of self-fulfillment and to
pursue my passion while living
in a ‘foreign’ country introduces me to parts of myself and
my art that I could never discover in familiar territory.
