8. Reintroduce Fruit
Week 4 allowed me to introduce
fruit back into my diet but two
weeks of no sugar had actually
broken the habit of grabbing a
piece as I ran out the door.
9. Feel the difference
I would highly recommend this
programme to anyone - from
those with a healthier diet who
just want to take that extra step
or Girl Gone Internationals who
need to break a comfort or convenience fueled sugar addiction.
One week after my sugar free
month I definitely felt more energised and generally better without
sugar. I feel that I’m burning more
fat as fuel now.
This process definitely takes a bit
of planning, but by planning my
meals in advance means I am not
running out to the shops so often,
which saves me time and money.
10. Congratulate yourself!
Two weeks later and I had barely
touched chocolate nor had I had
any desserts. A friend brought
some home baked treats over
this week and I only had a tiniest piece and the taste was so
intense. My sweet tooth has certainly dulled and had become
easier to satiate.
Looking ahead, I will continue
with my sugar free diet, having
just an occasional treat.
