Adaptability & Flexibility Skills
While studying, travelling and living abroad things are often out of your
control. The things you do to adjust and adapt to those unanticipated
situations are commendable and will likely give you unique and solid
answers to questions asked during a job interview.
Task Think of examples of when you have successfully
done the following –
• Integrated new information and drew conclusions from it
• Switch from the detail to the ‘big picture’ within a task
• Intellectual flexibility – keeping an open mind is important. You should be
able to demonstrate that during meetings or general interaction
• Responded to a change with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
new ways to achieve targets and objectives is a key competency
• Showed creativity by actively seeking out new ways of doing things and
not being scared to improvise and/or experiment
• Changed your behavior or adjusted your style of working or method of
approach to meet the needs of a situation or emergency
