What is it like as a women in Bangkok compared to France ? It ’ s very different compared to France . I feel free to wear what I want which is very liberating after years in fashion-conscious Paris . Women are cherished and well respected here . I definitely feel more at ease in public as a women living in Thailand .
Is there a difference in your quality of life ? Life is more relaxed here . The cost of living is much lower , the condos offer more for your money than in Europe . Business wise , there is a lot less administrative paperwork which helps achieve a better life-work balance .
Do you ever feel homesick , and how do you cope with that ? I am often homesick for my friends and family but I try to return home and visit once a year . Sometimes I am homesick for the culture and art of Paris , chatting in my native language to strangers and getting my favorite things fresh from a French bakery . But in turn , I have a better appreciation for those things I miss when I am back home , and I make sure to savor those moments .
How is your Bangkok experience different from that of a tourist ? I find it to be a much better experience living here than being a tourist .
