That’s the key - WE ARE ALWAYS IN CONTROL of our lives, our choices and most importantly our beliefs For some of you it will be one main story For others, you will have a laundry list This is a simple example of how one comment from our childhood can cause us to create an experience, a falsehood around our capabilities, limiting our experience, happiness and overall personal control over lives. At that moment, a long, lean and very tall girl walked by and he used her as an example of the type of body I needed. From that moment forward, I saw flaws when I looked in the mirror. That’s the key - WE ARE ALWAYS IN CONTROL of our lives, our choices and most importantly our beliefs. Because of that comment, I shied away from dance all together and moved my focus to sports. I didn’t even look into other forms of dance. I assumed that regardless, I didn’t have what it took and I would never look the part. That was how much I allowed one comment to shape and mold the course of my life and the decisions I made, along with the detrimental view I allowed it to have on myself. I bring this up because I want to know your story. For some of you it will be one main story. For others, you will have a laundry list. Take note of how you have allowed your story around you and your body to impact your life, your decisions and actions. I want you to connect how your story has tied into your weight loss struggle. How have you allowed it to impact your motivation and your ambition to have what you know would make you feel amazing and so happy?!
