All about "Im Waiting"
I wrote “I’m waiting” because I wanted to write a song about the heart of a person waiting for the love of their life to make up their mind. Too many people spend years with a person trying to convince them of their value. Trying so hard to seal the deal. Unfortunately, sometimes our love one because of fear is comfortable with prolonging the process of taking the final step of commitment.
I want people to understand that they are valuable and that anyone who cannot see that value in you, is not worth your time.
Ultimately, the choice is up to you, not them. It’s your life. Do you want to continue to wait for someone to see your value or are you going to take that courageous step and say, I’m a great catch and if they don’t see that I will go on with my life.
Everyone has to set their own relationship timeline to get to know that person. Don’t get me wrong, take your time to get to know them, but there also comes a time when a person begins to cross the timeline and it turns into a long drawn out situation. Love yourself to know your value.
The way I sang this song particularly in the break down, I wanted listeners to feel the frustration of waiting on someone who doesn’t know what they want. “You gotta tell me something! Don’t make me lose my mind!” I had so much fun with this. I’ve been there done that maybe that’s why I went a bit wild in this song.
