“Gimme The Soul” was the first single I chose from the Album to be released because I feel like this song set the tone of the entire project. It’s a fun funky disco tune with a lot of pop! I love this song! Once again, it allows me to show forth my fun silly side. In this song, I ask the question, what soul is. I was surprised in researching the topic online all the different definitions.
When I really sat down and thought about it. I realized that soul has nothing to do with pigmentation, it has everything to do with just simply being born with it. You can make yourself have soul. Either you have it or you don’t. It’s who you are and how you live your life.
Having soul is like knowing you’re in love. It’s hard to explain but you either have it or you don’t. Its how you move, how you groove, how you talk and how you walk. If you like this song, you probably got it! Lol Another fun song!
