“You Take Me” is a very romantic ballad. Every album I write, it has to have a romantic ballad. I love romance. I think it is something that is quickly disappearing in our world today being that everything is so quick hurry fast.
We want everything so quickly and unfortunately we sometimes treat love the same way. That is that I feel keeping the romance alive is the key to a happy successful relationship. I guess I can be a bit fairy tale-ish when writing love songs. I like to make them poetic.
This song is about how one can feel when they are deeply in love. You feel like you are lifted high in the air. Nobody can bring you down with this true wonderful type of love.
My prayer is that every person on the face of this earth will experience the type of love that will put an everlasting smile on your face. “You take me to the moon, you take me to the stars, I feel like I’m sitting on top of the world, on Jupiter and Mars! O yea baby!
I think this is my second favorite song. I love the melody line and the bass. It moves me.
