Many people get themselves involved with relationships that are not good for them. They stay with individuals who drain them emotionally and mentally just to have someone to keep them company.
In my life, I have found that keeping toxic people in your life is dangerous. I personally call them, “Spirit Killers”. These people are east to identify because they are the ones that rip you in pieces suddenly when you share your dreams with them.
These are individuals who don’t want to see you happy or prosper in life. Keeping these types of people around your inner circle will kill your dreams and stifle your success.
Be wise in your choosing of a lifetime mate and friends. Remember, it is your choice to be happy. Don’t let anyone rob you of your joy.
I personally had a great time recording this song because I always wanted to write a classic soul song. My husband John Carey was amazing with that organ! You should have seen him laying that organ part! And the bass & guitar parts he played were the perfect touch to this classis soul song. I had a ball with this song because it gave me the chance to step out of my comfort zone and tread down unexplored music styles.
