Tecate , Mexico Receives Emergency Vehicles
The Thursday before the Gilroy Garlic Festival XXXI began , a special presentation was made to the city of Tecate , Mexico . Tecate is one of Gilroy ’ s Sister Cities . Representatives from Tecate received eight police cars , a fire truck , and a fire engine from the local Rotary clubs , including Morgan Hill , San Juan Bautista , Hollister , Gilroy and Gilroy Sunrise Rotary Clubs together with the City of Gilroy , Gilroy Police and Fire and the Gilroy Sister Cities Association . The presentation of the retired equipment took place just before a welcome dinner hosted by the Gilroy Sister Cities Association for Sister City delegations from Tecate , Mexico , Takko-Machi Japan and Angra do Heroismo , Portugal .
