Chapter 2: How to overclock your Intel i7 / i5 / i3 7700K, 7600K, 7350K CPU
For reference we are using a GIGABYTE AORUS 270X-Gaming 7 motherboard and an Intel i7 7700K CPU. Based on our testing most Intel 7700Ks can hit 4.8Ghz without delidding on standard air coolers using a 1.30 Vcore.
Two ways to overclock
We offer two different ways to overclock, a simple and easy way for increased performance at no hassle and a manual way for precise overclocking in order to get the most out of your system.
The simple and easy way
Step 1: Enter the BIOS by pressing the“ delete” button Step 2: Enter“ Advanced Frequency Settings”
Here you see the“ Extreme Memory Profile( X. M. P.)” option. Change it to“ Profile 1”. Depending on your RAM you might see a second X. M. P. profile.
