High school is a time in your life you will always remember. I still have memories to make
with my senior year still ahead of me. So far I still have a ton of memories behind me. I wouldn't
say I have one big memory but many little memories. Memories I will always remember Mr.
Poppens lectures/stories/motivational speeches will always be burned into brain. I will always
remember his speeches especially before basketball games. They would just motivate me so
much it made me strive for greatness for the rest of the day. Not only are these speeches
completely of the top of his heads but you he also has annual speeches he gives every year
that still catch everyone off guard. His most affective speech is his farewell speech to seniors. I
had to sit through two of them so far and every senior was in tears.
Another memory or memories from high school would be homecoming every year.
Homecoming was a time where classes would stop and the fun would begin. The whole week is
filled with activities and advisor competition. Also you decorate your class hallway with a certain
theme you were given, and you also have to create a float with a limited budget. We also have
wacky dress up days like hex day which you dress up as the team the football team is playing to
give them bad luck. With me being in the FFA we do a petting zoo for the elementary kids in all
the schools in the NFV school district.
Another memory is going to have to be taking a business trip to the mall of america. We left
early in the day and the rest of the day was filled with excitement and joy. I will always
remember high school until the die I die or get alzheimer's. It is a time to really figure out what
you are going to do with your life and meet possibly long time friends. I will always cherish these
memories and hopefully make a lot more next year.
