Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards 2012
Growing Guiding Day at
Stubbers Outdoor Centre
eaders and girls from all parts of the County gathered at the Queens Theatre, Hornchurch in
June for the annual presentation of the Jack Petchey Awards. Avril Brampton, County
President and Jan Knight, County Commissioner opened and closed the glittering evening
which saw girls and Leaders being recognised for their achievements in Guiding during the previous 12 months. Entertainment was provided by Megan Warwick, Georgia King, Christina Radikic
and Megan Brien. Jan thanked the JP Foundation for their continued support for Girlguiding
Essex West and the difference that support makes to everyone in the County.

Stubbers Outdoor Centre in Upminster in October
finding new ways to enjoy themselves.
There were crafts to try, a challenging climbing wall
to tackle and then time to enjoy some pampering too.
The day was organised by the Growing Guiding
team of Sarah Collins and Kirsty Hardy who declared
the day a success when some new potential Leaders
came forward at the end of the day.
