WIN TER 2008 PAGE 4 PAGE 5 C O U N T Y D AY P I N B O A R D ounty Day in September was hailed as another success for Essex West with Guiders from all parts of the County descending on Marks Hall School, Harlow for a full day of trainings and meeting up with friends again. County Commissioner Linda Taylor opened the day by introducing Crystal Bear, while wearing one of the very distinctive polo shirts being sported by members of the Centenary Team. Guiders received badges for completing 10 trainings and a number of awards were made for long service including one for 40 years to Olive Wenborne and Linda Taylor received her 30 years certificate. County Brooches were presented to Moreen Bell and Avril Brampton C Olive Wenborne and Marjory Law were appointed Vice Presidents by County President Avril Brampton, and Good Service awards were made to Margaret Henderson and Chris Skinner by Linda Taylor. The Market Place in the main hall brought together a host of crafts for Guiders to try and take back to their Units as well as displays for Changing The World, the Disneyland Paris trip and information about some of the other events planned for 2010 Centenary celebrations.
