Brownies and is an indispensable member of innumerable pack holidays in the District. All plates and cups have to pass the stringent“ Barbara” test after being washed up! At the presentation Barbara was given her 50 year badge surrounded by Brownies and Rainbows from the units she continues to help lead.
North West Division Commissioner, Jane Smith, and other Leaders from Saffron Walden District, presented her with a fleece with a specially designed logo saying“ Brownies for ever, leaving never”. A“ Being your Best” Young Leader / Leader Training was held 24 April 2017 with more than 18 Essex West Young Leaders joined by some of their Leaders in Romford. The Young Leaders planned an evening and learnt about what is on offer for them including Peer Educator and other awards. The Young Leaders who took part organised some great evening programmes for their units, which the Leaders who attended were looking forward to them being actioned at their meeting places.
It is really great that some volunteers have come forward to act as PRAs in some Divisions and they have already started to cover events for the newsletter and website. It is important that we know what is happening around the County so please let us know via the County Office or website about events in Units / District / Divisions and where possible we will try to arrange coverage in pictures for the website and newsletter. It may not always be possible to come along, so please take pictures of events, holidays, camps etc and let us have them with some words, so your activities can be enjoyed Countywide.
