The 2024-2025 NFL season is officially upon us , and U . S . bettors are ready for action . According to the Optimove Insights 2024-2025 Consumer Report on NFL Wagering Intentions , preferences in wager types are similar to that of last season , with a few changes .

For this season , 68 percent of respondents are going with classic point-spread bets , the most of any type . That ’ s up from 64 percent last year , which was second behind over-unders ( 66 percent last year ).
Over-unders were slightly down this year , at 62 percent .
The biggest year-over-year change was in moneyline bets — this year ’ s total of 62 percent was 6 percent higher than last year . Notably , the second-biggest change was a 5 percent drop in same-game parlays , which have become a critical market for big operators such as FanDuel and DraftKings . Teasers , or parlays in which point spreads are manipulated in either direction , were also down , drawing just 13 percent of bettors as opposed to 17 percent .

Petts revealed that New Jersey and Pennsylvania casinos would likely benefit with more visitation from residents of Philadelphia if they instituted a smoking ban .
The survey found that nearly three in four adults ( 74 percent ) stated they were more likely to visit an entirely smoke-free casino while only 26 percent stated that they were less likely . Among the 69 percent of Philadelphia-area adults who are casino-goers ( they have been to a casino in the past five years ), 74 percent are more likely to visit a smoke-free casino . Among non-casino-goers , even more ( 76 percent ) are more likely to visit a smoke-free casino .
The one disparity shows that residents of New Jersey would be less likely to visit a smoke-free casino ( 29 percent ) than residents of Pennsylvania ( 21 percent ).
The survey will give more ammunition to the CEASE group of Atlantic City casino employees who have been lobbying for a full smoking ban in their casinos for years . would you be more or less likely to visit a casino in atlantic city if the casino was 100 % smoke-free indoors ?
