IGT ’ S ASHER RECEIVES WHITE HOUSE APPOINTMENT
President Joe Biden has appointed IGT ’ s Joe Asher to chair the Board of Trustees for the Woodrow
Wilson International Center for Scholars .
Asher , who is president of sports betting for IGT PlaySports , is a native of Delaware , Biden ’ s longtime home . He graduated from the University of Delaware and the Delaware Law School of Widener University .
The Wilson Center , chartered by Congress in 1968 as the official memorial to President Woodrow Wilson , is the nation ’ s key nonpartisan policy forum for tackling global issues through independent research and open dialogue to inform actionable policy ideas .
Members of the Board of Trustees are appointed to six-year terms by the U . S . president . Trustees serve on various committees with functions including executive , audit , finance and investment policy , development and fellowship , as well as strategic planning and programming .
Prior to IGT , Asher was the CEO of William Hill US from its founding in 2012 until its sale to Caesars Entertainment in 2021 . His work in the sports betting industry began when he founded Brandywine Bookmaking in 2007 , a company he sold to William Hill in 2012 . Previously , he was an attorney at Skadden , Arps , Slate , Meagher & Flom .
TRANSACT APPOINTS JOHN DILLON INTERIM CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
TransAct Technologies Inc . announced that its board of directors has appointed John M . Dillon , a member of the board , as interim chief executive officer , effective immediately . Dillon succeeds Bart C . Shuldman , who resigned as CEO and as a director of the company .

Dillon has been a board member since 2011 , and is an experienced executive , having previously served as the CEO of several companies . He is chairman of Aerospike , Inc . and previously served as CEO of Aerospike , Engine Yard , Inc . Navis , Inc . and salesforce . com , and president & CEO of Hyperion Solutions . He began his career as a systems engineer for Electronic Data Systems , and then moved into a variety of sales management positions for various hightech companies .
Shuldman has served as TransAct ’ s CEO since 1996 . His leadership helped the company successfully emerge from the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic , and he has been integral in developing the company ’ s strategic direction .

He is very familiar with our culture and our operations , having served on our board for more than a decade .”
“ I am eager to take a more active leadership role in the business as we look to grow revenue and execute on our strategic plan ,” said Dillon .

INTRALOT APPOINTS BATESON AS CCO
Lottery and gaming technology supplier Intralot announced that Richard Bateson has been appointed its chief commercial officer , as the company restructures ahead of an expansion push in North America .

Bateson will report directly to newly appointed Intralot U . S . Chief Executive Nikolaos Nikolakopoulos .
With over 20 years of lottery experience , Bateson has worked as both an operator and vendor within the lottery sector , including Camelot UK Lotteries , which has operated Britain ’ s national lottery since the 1990s .
More recently , he was a consultant to various companies including Jumbo Interactive , Teneo and Camelot .
“ As a former president of EuroMillions , he brings an extensive knowledge of European and North American experience to his new role and will be working with the senior management team to enhance Intralot ’ s business in North America ,” said the company in a press statement .
Bateson will work with Nikolakopoulos to improve the company ’ s disappointing 2022 financials . The new appointment is the latest step in Intralot ’ s restructuring efforts . Bateson ’ s extensive experience in the lottery industry makes him a perfect fit for the position . He spent most of his career with Camelot , where he rose to international senior vice president .
VIRGIN HOTELS LAS VEGAS CEO DEPARTS

. C . Hospitality , the ownership group that manages Virgin Hotels Las Vegas , recently announced that CEO Richard Bosworth resigned from his position at the end of March .
The outgoing CEO had long served as the head of the ownership group , and was instrumental in facilitating the $ 500 million acquisition of Hard Rock Las Vegas by Virgin Group in 2018 .
Bosworth was also a key figure in the $ 200 million redevelopment of the property before it officially reopened in March 2021 . Bosworth himself did not comment on the announcement , but J . C . Hospitality did confirm that he will maintain his ownership stake in the property .
Notably , Bosworth was also credited with bringing in Mohegan Gaming to operate the casino of Virgin Las Vegas , which represented one of the first tribal expansions into the Las Vegas market .
On March 20 , J . C . issued a statement saying that Bosworth “ will be taking the next step in his career as he moves on to pursue new ventures in hospitality .”
The property ’ s rooms are managed by Virgin Hotels and Hilton Hotels . The gaming operations are run by Mohegan .
