Rayshawn Lane 25, (born May 28, 1989), better known by his stage name Bruce Bungi or simply Bungi, is an American recording hip hop artist from Brooklyn, New York City. He is the second recording artist to drop a project out of Grannjury Records camp.

He embarked on his career in 2009, unsigned and hungry released 5 mixtapes independently. His first release (Welcome To The Bungi Cord) reintroduced a love for hip hop that Bungi had lost as a child and immediately released a bonus edition to the bungi cord mixtape. In the following yrs he released 3 more mixtapes (The Show Vol1, T.M.O. OddBall, The Illuminati Owe me 5 Dollars) all projects can be found now on DatPiff.com/BruceBungi.

Now currently working with Gary “Gee” Studwood CEO and Owner operator of Grannjury Records on his heavily awaited mixtape PlanetoftheApes feels that he is in a great space mentally to give the public family and friends from SmurfVille housing in Brooklyn, New York what they need and want from him as a artist in his own words “They want That Pain”.

Bruce Bungi who’s inspirations include artist such as Eminem Jay z and the great notorious big who are also former residents of the Bedford Stuyvesant section in Brooklyn with aspirations of collaborating with such artist as Kid Cudi, Cee-lo Green, Dblock, and Rihanna. Currently working on his second mixtape (DawnOfTheApes Rise2Power) leading to his first debut album (MyCondolences).
