Protect your heart and soul.

When you're recovering from a broken heart, it's tempting to seek to fill the loneliness and hurt with “affection and love” from someone else. The problem with "rebound" relationships is they aren’t based on love and mutual respect. Instead, they're based on numbing your pain or trying to feel valued, appreciated and loved again. While it might feel nice for a minute, you could end up getting hurt again, making your current pain worse, or even hurting the other person when they realize you're using them as an escape. Or, if a new person seeks you out while you're still healing, beware that they might be taking advantage of your vulnerability right now. Beware. If it's true love, it'll wait until you've healed.
