Whilst completing this assignment there has been many positives but also negatives. Time management is something I struggle with and the issue reoccurred during this project.
At the beginning, my sketchbook was up to date and my research folder was full with notes from lectures, personal research and various news articles. As our studies continued I started to look for articles reflecting all of the PESTLE factors to ensure but understanding was shown.
I delayed my JooMag until week three as it was complicated and hard to get a grasp of. Once I had the information to insert and had a brief tutorial I was off and not only did I understand how to use it but I also enjoyed it, putting my creative input to create my personal magazine look.
As I started working on JooMag more and more I started to forget about my sketchbook and started falling behind. I worked hard that week to ensure I had all the images and information so that I could just stick them in the following week.
Due to me delaying the start of the JooMag, neglecting my sketchbook, working outside of college and completing homework it has left my final week with a lot to do.
SMART targets through both assignments and high school were a problem of mine. At the start I am keen to start them so my time is used well and effectively and it easily highlights if/when I'm behind. Similarly to the last assignment, I completed the first 3 weeks and then forgot to fill them out with all the other work I am completing so it has left me with having to guess what I done that week and what is still left to do.
This project however has really helped me with speaking in front of the class. The controversial ad campaign presentation was hard for me to do as I struggle to read of the board sometimes and speak in front of a group of peers. But after that and the positive feedback I receive, my ad campaign made for a retailer of my choice and my get the look video I was far more confident in presenting my work.
If I were to complete this project again I would most definitely work on my time management. I would use my SMART target sheet as they are very helpful when they are used. I would most likely stay longer at college, or even attend on my days off to ensure I do not fall behind in any part of the project.
