During my time of being able to make my Get the Look Joomag the things I feel that I have done well is having found out numerous amounts of information on each unit point in each subject. I have also added lots of relevant pictures and adverts into each page of my Joomag making the magazine look more realistic. Most of my pages are presented in a magazine format with similar themes running throughout. This makes my magazine look more genuine. It helped very much looking throughout at different fashion magazine to help me picture what my own one would look like.
Despite this, I feel I could’ve done a few things better. These include having written about my three separate retailers in more detail and presented them looking more like a magazine article. I found doing this hard as I didn’t know how to present this information in that way as there wasn’t much research there.
If I were to do this project again I would’ve ordered my work in order into my Joomag at the very beginning as it is very confusing moving it all once it is stuck in place. As well as this I would’ve left myself more time as I didn’t understand how to use the site at the beginning so took me a while to get round it all. Due to this I ended up putting my work in later than expected which delayed me a bit.
I planned effectively to meet the deadline by using my smart targets as a template of what I wanted to get done each week. If this wasn’t done that I would’ve carried it onto the next week and got it done the next week. This was a good way to work and kept my work organized of what I had and hadn’t done.
In conclusion, I like the fact that I have added a theme to my magazine. I feel that as well as it making it look more realistc, it also brings the magazine together. Despite finding the project very challenging at times, I have enjoyed doing it and have learnt many new skills along the way.
