In the forties women were dressed very smart and sophisticated. Trench coats by Burberry were worn and they still are worn now. However they are alot more expensive!
As you can see on the far left picture (the collection of different items) the top is still very commonly worn now. The top is known as a peplum top. You can pick one up on ASOS, or in TOPSHOP or ZARA.
Kitten heels were also very commonly worn (seen in the middle picture.) You can get kitten heels from any shop that sells heels. PRIMARK have a really great range of heels and kitten heels at the moment!
