The Teddy Boy look is from the 1950s. It was a smart casual look adopted by teenagers in this decade. To achieve this look you could wear a smart blazer jacket paired with tailored trousers and a shirt. A fashionable footwear choice would be a pair of creepers in a dark colour, such as black.
Dark coloured clothing was more popular in the 1950s, however, you could take a more modern approach to this look and add some colour. For example, when Bottega Veneta created a collection based on the Teddy Boys in 2010 it included brighter colours such as reds, blues and even a pink shirt.
Fashionable fabrics such as velvet could easily enhance this look, a velvet blazer jacket would be a perfect modern Teddy Boy style. To complete the Teddy Boy look you have to have the slicked back hair style, which recently came back into fashion.
