FACING THE ISSUE

Teens face this issue based on messages they get from parents, other adults, friends and peers. They also face this issue for what they see on the media. The media is full of images of thin women and muscular men, and teens may rarely see images of healthy men and women who contradict this physical stereotype. Teens also receive messages about their bodies from peers, friends and adults. If a teen gets the impression that others don’t approve of his or her body, it could damage a teen’s body image.

“Body confidence does not come from trying to achieve the 'PERFECT' body, it comes from embracing the one you've already got."

POSITIVE STRATEGIES

Many teens face the issue of body image but rarely not know what to do about it. Teens mainly form this issue based on what others think. This is not right as teens shouldn't really care what others think they should believe in what they think. If they still struggle after that they should think of the best possible option. Referring back to the Lord God. In the bible he tells us 'Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians
