One of Bangkok's big problems is traffic. First of all, its streets have no kind of organization whatsoever. To make things worse, there are to many vehicles: about 7 million for a city of 9 million people, almost one per citizen. There are many motorcycles and some tuk-tuks too. (they are tricicle-like cars used as taxis, mostly by turists). Also there is a motorcycle taxi, that is like a taxi but in a moto. They are usually used foor short journeys.
The residents of Bangkok celebrate many of Thailand's annual festivals. During Songkran on 13–15 April, traditional rituals as well as water fights take place throughout the city. Observances related to the royal family are held primarily in Bangkok. The present king's and queen's birthdays, respectively on 5 December and 12 August, are marked as Thailand's national Father's Day and national Mother's Day.
In Bangkok, unlike in other places, there is a rainy season, a cool season and a dry season. The temperatures are relativley high in any season anyway.
