PLACES TO VISIT IN BERLIN WALL GERMANY Also known as the Wall of Shame, was raised as part of the intraalemanas borders and stood from 13 August 1961 until 9 November 1989, when knocked down, separating East Berlin from West Berlin and the RDA. CATHEDRAL OF ST. BARTHOLOMEW By: Roberta Cisneros SIEGESTOR (Victory Gate) Built in order to commemorate a war by the Bavarians, the passage of time and the destruction suffered by Germany made this monument got destroyed, however after it’s reconstruction it became an emblem of peace in the city of Munich. In the 50s, this was the tallest building of the city of Frankfurt, with more than 96 mts height. RÖMISCH-GERMANISCHES MUSEUM This important museum is located in the city of Cologne and holds important pieces of Roman art and peculiarities of German culture, which makes it very popular. 7
