Over 60 % of diploma and degree programs have a Co-Operative work component
Co-Op programs allow students during their studies, to gain paid work experience in their professional field. For example, a two-year diploma program might look like this:
Semester 1 Semester 2 Work Term 1 Semester 3 Work Term 2 Semester 4
Most Co-Ops are full-time and paid, so you can earn between $ 6000 to $ 8000 in each Co-Op semester.
Georgian is the largest Co-Op college in Canada with a graduate employment rate of over 90 % for the past 11 years, over 7,500 employers have participated in co-op / internship programs through Georgian College
Students enrolled in our Co-Op programs and who meet academic requirements alternate PAID work terms with semesters of academic study.
Our international Co-Op office team will assist in helping you develop your résumé, improving your interview skills for your job search.
In addition to opportunities for work during your studies, with a graduate diploma of 2 years or more, qualifying students can remain in Canada on a work permit for up to three years.
After completing one year of a three-year work permit, qualifies you to apply for permanent residency.
